Emily Hage
Director of Bands

Emily Hage is beginning her first year as the Director of Bands at Southview High School, and is in her seventh year teaching. In her tenure at Northview High School and Arbor Hills Junior High School, Miss Hage’s bands have received numerous superior ratings and experienced successful trips to OMEA State level events. Additionally, she is a woodwind technician and leadership coordinator for competitive marching bands in the Toledo area, and is an active clinician on ensemble leadership development.

Miss Hage holds a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University, where she was the drum major for three years. She earned her Master’s degree in Music Education from The University of Michigan. As an active member of the Ohio Music Education Association, Miss Hage co-chairs the District 1 High School Honors Band and hosts the District 1 Large Group Adjudicated Event. Miss Hage has been featured at the Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Conference providing clinics on inclusion of students with exceptionalities in instrumental music ensembles.

In her free time, Miss Hage enjoys golfing, traveling and spending time with her incredibly supportive family and partner, Justin.
